Moodle provides override functions for many of the Assessment Activities so that you can set specific requirements for certain students on a case-by-case basis. 

Overrides are located in the Administration block for all relevant Assessment Activities.

Note: For larger numbers, consider creating an override Group and setting Group overrides and Group settings to handle Accommodated or differentiated submission requirements.

All Overrides (steps 1-3)

1. Open the required Activity and select Overrides from the Administration block

2. Select Add user override to add a new override. 
*Note the dropdown option to select and add a group override instead.

3. Search for the student by name or ID number to add a User Override.
*Note that you can add multiple individual users here at one time if you have a shared override for several students

Forum Settings

Forums do not have the override function built in so you have to alter restriction settings instead. 
You can create differentiated restriction settings for a variety of purposes which we elaborate on in our section on Restrictions.
