If a course is visible, students can see the course title and description, but cannot access it unless they are enrolled in the course.

If a course is not visible, then students cannot see the course at all, regardless of whether or not they are enrolled in it.

To make a course visible or hide it from students.

1. Open the course site on COTROnline
2. Go to Course Administration in the Administration block.
3. Select Settings.
4. Go to Course Visibility.
5. Change setting: Show/Hide.
6. At the bottom of the page, select Save.

NOTE:  even though a course is visible, it will not show in students' My Courses list until the Start Date is reached.  Students can access the course via their Dashboard until the Start Date.
