The default for Forum Notifications is one message/email for every new post.  If this is too many, you can adjust your personal settings:

Click on the drop-down beside your name

Select Preferences

Click on Forum Preferences

Change Email Digest Type.  If you click on the question mark, you will get an explanation of the different options.

When you are done, Save Changes
